Flu Vaccine Campaign 2021/22

The Dunvegan Medical Practice will be delivering the flu vaccination campaign as usual this year Clinics start around the middle of October and we will ensure that all eligible patients are offered an appointment at one of our clinics nearer the time. However, if you feel that you qualify for a flu vaccine and have not been given an appointment by mid-November, please contact the practice.

 

This year the practice will be offering vaccines to the following groups of patients;

  • Aged 50 and over (was 55 & over last year)

  • All adults aged 16 to 49 years who are in an influenza or Covid-19 at risk group

  • Household contacts of shielding

  • Pre-school 2 - 5 year olds

  • Unpaid carers and young carers

 This year NHS Highland will vaccinate the following groups through local vaccination teams

  • Housebound

  • care home staff and residents

  • frontline health & care staff

  • prison staff & population

  • Pregnant women

  • Nursery staff

  • Primary school children & staff

  • Secondary school children and staff
