Welcome to the Dunvegan Medical Practice website.
Coronavirus Covid 19
We will be inviting all eligible patients to receive a Covid vaccine in the coming months as vaccines for each group are allocated to us. Vaccine supplies are limited at present with supplies only gradually being released, giving us very little prior warning. Please be patient. We are committed to vaccinating all eligible individuals as soon as we possibly can and will contact everyone who is due to receive a vaccine as soon as we are able. Thank you.
Please DO NOT come to the Dunvegan Health Centre if you have any flu like symptoms, including a sore throat, cough or high temperature.
Instead telephone NHS24 on ' 1 1 1'

Due to significantly increased workload we are asking patients requesting issues of repeat medication to allow THREE FULL WORKING DAYS before calling to collect their medication.
The Dunvegan Medical Practice is based in the village of Dunvegan in the north west of the Isle of Skye. We have a patient list size of approximately 1750 patients and cover an area of around 130 square miles, our Practice boundaries being Struan to the south and Kildonan to the north. We are based in a modern, purpose built health centre which we share with Community Nursing and Dental teams.
We are a Dispensing Practice and provide a medicine dispensing service to all registered patients (all medicines are provided on prescription for which patients must see a GP - we are not permitted to sell 'over the counter' medicines).
The Practice is open between 08:00 & 18:00 Monday to Friday. Outwith these hours clinical care and advice is provided by NHS24 (Telephone '111') or, in the event of a serious medical emergency, the Emergency Services on '999'.
All consultations with a GP or Practice Nurse are by prior appointment only and any requests for emergency appointments or home visits will be triaged by a GP.
